Mt. Moon is a mountain located in northern Kanto, between Pewter City in the west and Cerulean City in the east. Climbing does not seem to be possible; to get past it, travelers always need to travel through the caves. Mt. Moon is known for being one of the few places that wild Clefairy can be found and for its frequent meteor falls. The shards of meteorites that fall here become Moon Stones, thus giving it the name Mt. Moon. The mountain is also known for being home to Pokémon Fossils. Brock digs for Fossils here in his spare time. When entering through the Pewter City entrance, there are two ways to go, either east or south. By traveling south and then east, the Cerulean City entrance can be found. However, by traveling east at the Pewter City entrance, the Trainer will end up at Mt. Moon Square. By traveling south at the Mt. Moon Square, and entering the southern cavern, there will be a ledge which can be jumped to instantly access the Cerulean City entrance. On Monday nights, Clefairy will dance and pray around a pool in Mt. Moon Square, in which the reflection of the full moon may be seen. If the player approaches and interrupts the dance, the Clefairy will flee, but one will drop a Moon Stone as it does so. There is also a small shop here that sells a small variety of goods. The shop is closed at night.

Satoko's Journey It was dark and damp inside the mountain. Pokemon scurried everywhere. very scary. I looked at Riolu and Rattata. They were also shivering while trying to act brave for me. That was nice of them. I looked in the corner. What was that.
I walked over and picked it up. It was like a piece of a star, but it was yellow, like a diamond. A...revive?
Suddenly, 6 Pokemon jumped out of nowhere and ambushed me!
"KYAAAA!!!" I screamed...I'm really glad that nobody's there to hear that.

I saw a light at the end of the cave.
"There's the end!" I exclaimed. I ran towards the light and tripped.
"Owwwww~" I looked down and saw that I tripped over two peculiar rocks. One was decorated with a strange helix and the other was hardened over with a dome. "Hm, these look cool" and I put the rocks in my backpack.

"Ah, back inside the...quiet...cave..." I told myself as I walked back into Mt. Moon. The silence was unsettling, as if something would jump out any second. Suddenly, a wild Zubat appeared!

"Phew, nice job Rattata!" I said as we walked along. Seeing how Rattata was tired, I sent her back to her Pokeball. However, doing so made me miss the rock that I stupidly stepped on. It was a Geodude, in fact.

"Great job guys!" I exclaimed. However, now I'm sure I'm lost. I can easily find my way back, but still, I'm now in a mysterious part of Mt. Moon that I haven't seen before.
I climbed a set of steps and found myself out in the open, at night. "Man, I've been out for a long time!" I told myself. I immediately shut my mouth when I saw a pool of water reflecting the moonlight. Scattered around the pool were tons of Clefairy!
"Oh hey! The rare Clefairys!"
One in particular went straight up to me, with a stout and distraught face and holding a stone with the color of a dark moon.

The Pokeball shook slowly. It flashed red once...twice...three times...then flashing stopped.
"I caught a Clefairy! We did it guys!"
Victorious, I finally caught an elusive Clefairy! Suddenly, the other Clefairys started moving. Dancing around the pool faster and faster, chanting a strange song...soothing...soothing...tired...
...tired~...
And I fell asleep.
The next morning, I woke up with a start! "Holy Mudkip, where am I?!" and I glanced around. This was Mt. Moon on top. I looked in my hand and saw a strange disk.
"TM 13, Ice Beam...Hey! The Clefairy must've given this to me!" and then I remembered! I got a Clefairy as well!
I sent out Clefairy to say hi to it. It only glared at me...huh...Still, I placed the disk on its forhead.
"Let's see how this goes." and Clefairy's eyes became bright blue. [Clefairy learned Ice Beam!]
"Well, hope it works well. On that note, let's head back and meet up with Mikona. Hope he's okay~"
