Route 2 is a north-south route located in west Kanto. The northern end of the route is at Pewter City and its southern end is at Viridian City. . The contour of the route is designed to have two separate pathways. The western side path, Viridian Forest, can be explored early on in adventures as a Trainer, and the eastern side can be explored after receiving HM01 (Cut).

He looked upon the small route in front of him, barely 20 yards. A patch of tall grass was there, but that was the only defining feature, other than the small tree to his left.
'Smaller than I thought.'
Shrugging, he went on into the Viridian Forest, venturing to get to the other side and become stronger on the way. [Exit To Viridian Forest]

Looking around, The psychic really couldn't find much. However, a glint appeared in the small grass patch in front of him...
Going towards it, the azure boy found what seemed to be a red-orange TM labeled Incinerate. May be useful, if he gets a fire type.
Suddenly, he was jumped by three Ratatta, all bearing their fangs to his position. Having gotten used to these type of ambushes he simply pulled out Kumo and String Shot his way onto a nearby tree. Looks like he may get in some training after all...

'Well, that was bothersome.' Many holes in the battlefield and toxic juice everywhere, Kumo came out only slightly strained. Kumo had gotten stronger, estimated by the psychic to Lv. 10.
A bit bored, Mikona teleported to Viridian, wanting to see some sights.

as mai was getting to the end of route 2 she ran into a wild female caterpie at level 4 imgining the beatiful buterrfree that it would eventually evolve into she decides to catch it so she sends out her level 7 eevee.

after attacking the caterpie with shadow ball mai then throws a pokeball at the caterpie and catches it succesfuly.

Satoshi had heard on the new recently about a notorious gang of evil doers but didnt get to hear their name as he fell asleep halfway through the news. All he knew is that they are recruiting for evil purposes and abuses pokemon. HE walked along and found a pikachu. He knew they were rare even in kanto so he used squirtle who was now a level 9 and faught the pikachu. He threw a pokeball at it and finally caught it. He named the pikachu sparky as he liked giving his pokemon nick names. He used a potion on the pikachu and walked along. He didnt want to use the forest so he went around the forest avoiding a lot of hassle. The forest looked really dark and spooky so he never entered it. He finally reached the end of route two and then saw petwer city. He ran tpwards it running traight towards the pokemon scenter.

The girl simply stood there. Although she gave us a passing glance as she walked by, it was as if we weren't here. I couldn't take my eyes off of her as she continued off. I looked back at Mikona, who seemed just as confused as me. So instead, we continued along Route 2...atleast until he dropped back in.

As the two of the walked, I landed right nearby. Satoko was taken aback to see me so soon, almost a bit annoyed.
"What the heck are you doing here?!" She snapped at me.
"I just wanted to drop in and say hi. That and I was wondering if you two would like to travel in Johto to continue your Gym Challenge."
Satoko pondered on that and looked to Mikona for his answer. In my own mind, I prayed that they would agree. Kanto was going to become dangerous and I can't let these two stay until they're ready.

I stared in disbelief at the hole that appeared out of nowhere. Mikona lied there at the bottom in pain.
"Mikona! Are you alright?" I shouted down below, frantically worrying whether he was okay. I noticed the Red R engraved at the bottom of the hole. This clearly wasn't an accident.
Fushidara called to Mikona and asked, "Hey, need some help? Anything broken?"
At that moment, 4 people dressed in black came out from behind the bushes. One of them spoke.
"Well...that's not a Pokemon."
"No S***, Sherlock." another rudely chimed in.
"We can always use more recruits, right?" said a third.
"Well, let's take their Pokemon and induct them in. How does that sound?" said the fourth, reaching for her Pokeball.
A cold sweat ran down my neck. I panicked and didn't know what to do. We were surrounded and outnumbered. Fushidara stepped forward.
"Well, I can assure you that we're not going to go easy. Before you get yourselves hurt, I'm going to give you a chance to run." he said with confidence. Seeing him like this gave me a sense of strength to fight as well.
"You think you're so tough. Let's see if you're as big as your mouth, huh?" the first one said as he grabbed one Pokeball. The rest clutched their Pokeballs, prepared to start a battle.
Mikona appeared behind me, still hurt but ready to fight as well.
"Mikona, Satoko. I'll take on two of them. Can I depend on you two to fight as well?" Fushidara said as he turned his head to us. I nodded my head and looked to Mikona for his agreement.

As I teleported behind him, a bit hurt, he asked if I could fight. Double battle with Satoko, eh? "Y-Yeah... ow... Lets dance." Pulling out Kumo and ready for battle, I somewhat painfully moved my arms forward to fight.

I looked at the two kids behind me. Already, they had the intent to defend themselves burning in their eyes. I blamed myself for letting this happen but now's not the time for self-pity. If we don't handle this right, we won't win.
"Swallow your resolve, you two. Trust in your Pokemon and then I'm sure you'll win. Now, let's go!"

The young Team Rocket member walked out of a bush after hearing stuff come from there as he saw a few more members there. He was wearing the standard Team Rocket uniform as he looked nice and very kind. He was standing there making sure not to be noticed.

The two Rocket Grunts before me looked annoyed. They brushed themselves off and with once glance they saw someone in the bushes; they froze in place. I turned to see him as well. Another person with a Rocket uniform. He must've been someone these Grunts knew, maybe respected in their hierarchy. But somehow, he didn't seem as malicious and cold-hearted. His aura was different. I can't afford to be cautious right now, though.
At the corner of my eye, Satoko and Mikona were still battling the other two Grunts. Still cautious and worried over the two kids, I approached the man in the bush.
"Who are you? If you're here for malice, then get out before I make you leave." I said sternly at him. As far as I knew, anyone from Team Rocket worked on their one malicious agenda, and I couldn't trust anyone working for that.

He only looked at the trainer smiling as he couldn't help it. "Hey. I'm Satoshi. Nice to meet you." He help out his hand for a handshake as he looks at the two pathetic grunts. "You two can go back to the base. NOW!!" He then looks back at you. "You look like you know what you are doing. How would you like to join Team Rocket?" He asked nicely.

I enjoyed the fact that he didn't approve of his grunts' actions. But as much as I hated the fact that he offered, I couldn't be mad. He seemed different than the rest of team Rocket that I've met.

"Actually i don't know either. It was a coincidence i met a strong trainer here on route two where the new trainers usually are. All i was doing was going on a stroll but unfortunately i saw them lot being idiots per usual. They know not to attack people like that as it causes them a lot of pain and suffering. And i don't know if Team Rocket wants you as i am new. So whats your name and would you like to be friends?" He still had his hand out for the handshake.

My mind went light as I stared at the results. Koffing was fainted and Riolu was the sole Pokemon standing. Tired, but still standing. My mind went blank as I saw Fushi rush over from standing near the bushes. In my final glimpses, I saw Fushi worried face, Mikona kneeling in pain, and a silhouette of a person in the bushes.
"Good job, you two." a voice said. In that haze, I couldn't tell whose it was.

My back was bleeding by now, the red stain wettening the back of my shirt. The pain... At least... at least we won. I grmaced and breathed deeply, now lowering to one knee. Thank God... our Pokemon were safe... were they? "Good job, you two." I heard a voice, and couldn't tell who it was... I looked to my left, seeing Satoko fainted by now. Crawling over to her, I retreated our remaining Pokemon, using all my might to stay awake next to her.
