Goldenrod City


Goldenrod City is a sprawling metropolis located in western Johto. It is the largest city in the region, rivaling Celadon City, the largest city in Kanto. Goldenrod City is the third largest city in the Pokémon world, behind Unova's Castelia City and Nimbasa City. Goldenrod is the center of the region's economy and telecommunications. Major attractions for Trainers include the Goldenrod Radio Tower, the city's Department Store, Game Corner, Name Rater, Magnet Train, Global Terminal and Gym.

Places of interest

Miracle Cycle
The lone Bike Shop in Johto is located in an isolated neighborhood in east Goldenrod, where business doesn't seem to be doing very good.

Goldenrod Department Store

The Goldenrod Department Store, located in the city center, claims to have a full selection of Pokémon Goods for Trainers. Though the store does not carry more advanced items such as Full Restores, it does back up its claim by boasting the widest selection of specialty items in Johto. It one of the largest buildings in Goldenrod City, making it easy to find.

Johto Name Rater

The Johto Name Rater is located in a house near the gate separating Goldenrod from Route 35. Here, Trainers can have the nicknames of their Pokémon rated and, if the Pokémon's ID number matches the Trainer's ID number, the nickname can be changed.

Radio Tower

The Goldenrod Radio Tower, located at the west end of the main east-west path through the city, is the source of all Pokégear broadcasts in Johto. An antenna on top of the tower transmits three radio programs daily, with a fourth program being aired between 6 P.M. and 12 A.M. every night. The building has three studios spread over five floors. The Radio Tower broadcasts numerous programs daily, the most prominent of such being Professor Oak's Pokémon Talk and Buena's Password.

Magnet Train station

The Magnet Train is found in Johto and Kanto. It is a maglev train that runs between Goldenrod City and Saffron City twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. It allows rapid travel between the two cities, moving at over 340 miles per hour.

Goldenrod Tunnel

An underground path, the Goldenrod Tunnel, runs from the southwestern side of the city to the northwestern area, with a branch leading to the basement of the Department Store. A pair of groomers in the tunnel will groom Pokémon, increasing the friendship of the groomed Pokémon, for a small fee.
This path contains a barber shop, Herb Shop, and a shop selling valuable items—which are to be simply resold for profit.

Flower shop

A flower shop is located in the northeast area of the city, where the player can obtain the SquirtBottle, the key item needed to get past the Sudowoodo who blocks the player's path on Route 36; however, the SquirtBottle can only be obtained after obtaining the Third Gym Badge.

GTS (global trading station)
A big building In Western Goldenrod. IT's the home of where global pokemon trades take place hence the name gts. There is one in every region in the world except for kanto.

Goldenrod International Airport.
For people who prefer flying to taking a train they go to the GIA. This is the biggest airport in all of Kanto and Johto, the Second being Saffron International. Hundreds of Planes fly in and out of the region everyday so it's quite the busy airport. Some of the flights include: Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Orre, Fiore, Obliva, and even White City.

Leonidas's Story
"So this is the famous Johto Region It's a big difference that just dessert as far as the eye can see." I was speaking aloud to my self looking out of the window in the airplane.
The seat belt light came on and the flight attendants announced that the plane would be landing shortly.
"Attention All passengers we are beginning our descent on Goldenrod city So please turn off your your C-gears, Pokegears, PDAs, and Xtransciviers until we land. Thank you." The pilot spoke as he began our descent to the airport.
The plane touched down a few minutes later and it had to stop quickly so it didn't run off the runway.
[SFX: Brakes]
ATC: Flight O37 Taxi to Gate 7
Pilot: Understood will Taxi to Gate 7

me: "Almost there." we landed at the gate and everyone got off the plane.

After getting my bag I walked over to the cargo section of the airport since they had a section for that too. then I turned on my pda.
"Now Where is my bike I told the place to have it Shipped here from Orre."
I went over to the clerk and gave her my slip and she checked her computer and nodded.
Female Clerk: "Yes Leonidas-san It just came into day Its In the parking lot right now Lot D space 69. And Here are your keys."
me: "Thanks Ma'am." I took my keys and walked through the airport. then through the parking lot and finnaly got to my bike.
"My bike!" I ran over and gave it a hug.
"I missed you baby." I jumped in and turned it on and put my riding goggles down and drove to the GTS, then Parked, turned it off, and took the keys after that 20 minute ride.
"Hmmm. I'm wondering if I should even join this gang now...." I paused for a moment and then Shrugged it off.
"Meh... I wanna run with some one while I'm out here." I walked into the place and looked around."
"Wow This is a lot bigger than the one back home."
Walking toward the Reception desk I found the receptionist.
"Hi I was here for a meeting with Kay White-san. He told me to met him here. I'm Leonidas."
Receptionist: "Ahh Leo-san. Come this way."
Me: He took me to the elevator and we started our descent into the base. then a few minutes later we stopped and the doors swung open.
[exit to Goldenrod Team Rocket Base.]

"Thank you For Using The GTS." The Clerk said with a smile
I nodded and walked out from behind the counter and out the building.
I reached for an ultra ball on my belt and threw it.
"Go Gira!"
[SFX:Giratina cry]
"Alright Gira open a portal in to the Distortion world and take me to my room in the pokemon League."
Gira nodded and Clawed open a tear to a different dimension. I hopped onto him and he flew into it.
After a minute of flying He Roared and a big claw shapped tear appeared and he soared into it.
[Exit to indigo plateau 4th Floor]

*Satoshi exited the Rocket Base and smiled. He released a pidgeotto from its pokeball and sratched it's ear and beak*
Hey wing. Can you carry me and y friend Leo to Violet City please?
*He nodded and gently pecked Sato's head in agreement*
Thanks mate your the best.
*He climbed on his back and waited for Leo to arrive so they can leave*

I ran to him and caught up to him.
"Wow you run fast, brother."
Then he called out his pidgeoto.
"Nice bird you have there, but I don't think it would fit both of us though."

Oh i know taht. I hope you arent afraid of height.
*He chuckled as his pidgeotto flew up and then picked Leo up by his arms and flew off. It had a tight grip with its feet as it flew up towards Violet city*
Hehe. I hope you arent scared

(exit to violet city)

I started to think of how this was going to work then Pidgeyotto grabbed my arms and took me up and away.
...!
"Wahh!"

Landing in golden rod The weather was a little on the cloudy side today.
"Hmm it's a little cloudy today. Well any who satoshi this is your stop Call me if you need me okay?"

He noded and took his headset off and jumped out of the helicopter.
"See ya bro. See ya Yarashi."
He walked off and smirked as he could go after the gym badge here next. Even though he has one pokemon.

Still inside the Heli. I looked toward Onii-san.
"Alright. Let's get back home now. To Ecruteak city!"

Yarashi smiled, "Ok. lets all head home now", he said slowly.
something selt wrong in the back of Yarashi's mind, somehow he could tell Rachel had a secret he didnt know about.


Rachel smiled, glancing over at Silver for a moment, then had the Helicopter take off.
"Ecruteak city sounds beautiful ..." she said slowly.

[Exit to Ecruteak city]

"Yeah Lets get Home everyone."
I saw rachel glance over at me and I smiled a little and waved to be nice and polite.
She spoke about our town.
"Yeah it really is once you get to see it. It certianly is enriched in tradition and History."
[exit to ecruteak city.]

"HA HA HA!" She returned to Goldenrod City with a triumphant look that was becoming common. "Time to do some shopping! But first..." She sat at a bench near the Magnet Train. Pulling out her laptop, she decided to switch her team for her travel team.

"There we go."

Satoshi walked around Goldenrod as he saw a woman sitting near the magnet train changing her pokemon through a laptop. He was curious so he walked over to her.
"H...Hello there. My name is Satoshi. I couldnt help but notice that you can transport pokemon through your laptop. How can you do that?"

"I'm in the Pokemon League, that's all I'm saying." She gave him a devilish grin. Can't tell, now can we? "Well, I'll be on the Magnet Train. See you, brat." She had business to do in Saffron, after all.

"Wait. Y...your Muriel of the Elite four arent you......You must know Silver nii-chan. Muriel......Can you battle me so you can see how me and my wartortle work together? Please..."
He looked at her looking eager too.

[MUriel? It's MAriel.]

"Heh... Fine, fine, brat. Just for fun. I haven't had a fight in ages... hopefully, I don't whomp you like all the other cocky scrubs I meet."

E4 Saint Mariel (Travel Team) VS Satoshi Yuon

"J....just saying...I only have one pokemon and i only have the pewter gym badge and the Violet city Gym badge. And im not that experienced either. Its been like 4 months since i started my journey so please go easy on me."
He smiled as he looked ready to battle.

"Erm... sorry kid, but I've got my strong team. Around level... 70-80. Still want to fight?" She then gave him a daring smirk. Heh... enthusiastic brat. Make sure you know who you're fighting.

He knew that her team was strong and could easily knock his partner out but he was not one to back down
"Okay ma'am. me and my partner wont back down from this chance. After all. Im going to be champion."

"That's what they all say, kid... that's what they all say." She picked out a pokeball from her team and bounced it on her sword, ready to start when he was.

satoshi1995: Lets go.
Mariel: Dance, brat!
Ninetales used SolarBeam!
Ninetales absorbed light!
It's super effective! The foe's Wartortle lost 100.0% of its health!
The foe's Wartortle fainted!
Mariel won the battle!
satoshi1995: IM no brat...
Mariel: Told you.
satoshi1995: *picks up splashy* This isnt over.
satoshi1995: But to think.....We were defeated with one attack.....
Mariel: E4 For a reason, brat.

He punches the ground hard after he lost.
"I...im so sorry splashy......I failed you........"
He picked his injured pokemon up and tended to its wounds.
"Mariel....You really are strong. im glad i learnt my limitations more ma'am"

"You better. Too many trainers lost lives by not knowing what they're up against and when to book it. Not saying to surrender, but know when you're beat, kid. Don't cry over losing, too. While you're punching the ground, I move on from the loss, get busy, and make thousands." Her thoughts moved to her dead husband, but exited. "I gotta go, kid. Don't ever beat yourself up, or you'll be more useless than you were before." Turning on heel, she moved to the Magnet Train to get to her hometown, Saffron. Had to pick some things up from Silph before getting on a big Legendary chase.

He waved goodby and when she left he took his pokemon to a pokemon center. After a short while his wartortle was recovered so he took him and thanked nurse joy. He then headed to Team Rocket's secret base in Goldenrod and went to report to Kay.
