Blackthorn City
Blackthorn City is located in northeast Johto. It is known as "A Quiet Mountain Retreat". Many famous Dragon-type Trainers, including Clair, Link, and Lance, come from Blackthorn City. According to a resident in Blackthorn, most Trainers in the city end up being Dragon-type specialists. This could be because of the Dragon's Den in the area and because the local Gym Leader is a Dragon-type Trainer.

Outside of the gym, link looks out towards the south, then turns back and posts a sign on the door of the gym. the sign read "CLOSED DUE TO THE LEADERS ABSENCE!!! WILL BE REOPEN IN A FEW WEEKS." seeing that the sign was secured to the entrance, he heads off out of the city a little, and then lets out his loyal pokemon SALAMANCE. 'Ok Drake, its time to go, lets head to the port.' Link gets on his pokemon and they fly off.

After returning to the gym from his extended vacation, Link is upset to find out that their are still no challangers. I enter the gym and return to the main room. "go hydrogedon", the three headed black and blue dragon burst from the ball, "ok hydra, its time to start training agein."

Finding the note on the door, Link thinks this would be a good way to promote their gyms agein, so he calls out his altaria. "fluffy, take this to mikey," the note read: Ok Mikey, i would be happy to have a battle with you, just come to blackthorn i'm not going anywhere for a while. Link's altaria flies away.

As the day draws to a end, Link heads torwds the pokemon center to check in on the condition of the pokemon from some of his challengers. As he enters the center he sees one of them right away, along with their rapidash. "so, i see your rapidash is doing fine after the battle, you put up a good fight, i hope you try again," The young boy looks at Link and thanks him for his concern, Link continues to go threw the center till he comes to the bulletin board. On the board he sees a flyier. "lost pokemon, last seen near the dragons den, the pokemon is a dragonair, if seen please inform me." at the bottom was a number to a pokegear, Link writes it down and heads towards the den. "
